Ann Barros, Certified from I.Y.I. S.F, E-RYT 500, teaching in the Iyengar tradition since 1980, has led over 50 Yoga in Bali tours, and is the original teacher for Elizabeth Gilbert, revered in ‘Eat Pray Love’. More information on Ann

Joanne Noruzi a resident of Maui and is a certified RYT 200. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and will assist Ann in afternoon restorative classes.

Magical Maui is the perfect place for adventure or relaxation. From the verdant slopes of Haleakala - a dormant volcano, to the West Maui Mountains and the Pacific ocean there are so many options. On the southwestern coast Wailea’s white sand beaches are perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, beach walking and whale-watching. Deep in the West Maui Mountains lies Iao Valley and the Hawaii Nature Center. With its emerald green lush rain forests to its iconic 1200 ft. high Iao needle, the valley offers visitors the opportunity to hike or sightsee.

On Maui, you’ll have the opportunity to experience many different adventures that you’ve never taken before. First time scuba divers will be impressed with a dive at Molokini or maybe you’d like to see Maui’s humpback whales that visit our island from December to April. Try windsurfing in Paia or kite boarding a combination of surfing and windsurfing powered by a large nylon kite at Hookipa. If soaring through the West Maui Mountains on the country’s largest Zipline sounds exciting we’ve got it!

The yoga retreat location is at the Makena Resort located in Makena, Maui the home of the Makena Beach and Golf Resort. The hotel is nestled on 17 acres within the 1800 acre Makena Resort. The resort is located only 3 miles from Wailea’s upscale Shops at Wailea and 4 miles from Kihei Town.
